Radiating Success: Inside JPAC Radiance’s Six-Year Journey

Behind the scenes of Greenfield’s thriving All-Star cheer program

In just six years, JPAC Radiance All Stars has transformed from a passionate startup into a nationally recognized powerhouse in the cheer community. What began as a vision for a supportive, competitive, and family-focused gym has blossomed into a program known for athletic excellence, strong community ties, and a culture that prioritizes both performance and personal growth. CheerCast spoke with Alex Martin Csiernik, Founder, Director, and Head Coach at JPAC Radiance All Stars.

“Radiance was founded with the vision of providing athletes with training at the highest level which inherently teaches teamwork, resilience, integrity, and how to contribute to a successful culture.”

Lighting the Spark: The Birth of JPAC Radiance

Radiance was born from a desire to fill a gap in the local cheer community. The leadership team recognized a need for a program that didn’t just focus on wins, but also on building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong skills.

The name Radiance reflects that mission—symbolizing the energy, positivity, and shine the athletes bring both on and off the mat.

“The name Radiance is derived from Matthew 5:14. “Be the light”. We want our athletes to be the light and the example for the cheer community and in their lives.”

Starting a new All-Star program wasn’t easy. From building the first teams from the recreational tumbling classes, to finding the right coaching staff and building community trust, the early days demanded patience, perseverance, and passion.”

Five Years of Glow and Growth

A major milestone came in their fifth year, when the Senior 4.2 team, NEON, won the D2 Summit, a nationally recognized championship. Along with this championship the program captured two Silver Medals (Junior 3, Youth 3) and two Bronze Medals (Junior 2, Youth 1) at the D2 Summit and Youth Summit respectively. These accomplishments showcased not only the athletes’ skill and dedication but also the program’s culture of excellence, teamwork, and development.

“We have steadily built our program from finding success at local competitions, to winning a bronze medal at D2 Summit in season 3, to winning two bronze medals at Youth Summit and a silver at D2 Summit in season 4.”

Challenges were inevitable- establishing a well-known program and balancing competition with culture—but the leadership credits clear vision and consistent values for helping them navigate obstacles successfully. The Summit success was more than a trophy; it was a validation of the program’s commitment to excellence on and off the mat.

2024–2025: A Record-Breaking Season

The 2024–2025 season was one of Radiance’s most successful yet. Across multiple competitions, the gym was consistently successful amongst multiple divisions:

• D2 Summit 2025:1st place with Senior 4.2 team NEON, scoring 98.8667 in the finals, 2nd place Junior 3, 3rd place Junior 2

• Youth Summit 2025: 2nd place Youth 3, 3rd place Youth 1

• Midwest Regional Summit: D2 Youth 1, Youth 2, Youth 3, Junior 2 and Senior 4.2 divisions won titles; Level 2 & 4.2/5/6 Grand Champions

• COA Grand Nationals: All 7 Elite teams won their division, Level 2, 3, 4.2 Grand Champions

• Jamfest Super Nationals: D2 Mini 1, Youth 2, Youth 3, Junior 2, Junior 3 won titles.

This incredible season of championship titles and national recognition underscores the program’s dedication to excellence and its growing prominence in the All-Star cheerleading community.

Season Six: Starting Off Strong – 24 perfect technique scores at CSG Indy!

As the program enters its sixth year, Radiance continues to expand and evolve. For the first time, the gym is fielding a medium-sized team, marking a significant milestone in its growth and competitive presence.

Radiance opened its sixth season with a powerful showing at CSG Indy, setting the tone for another year defined by precision, consistency, and competitive excellence. With 24 perfect technique scores, multiple Grand Champion titles, and Golden Ticket bids, Radiance proved once again that success begins with discipline, teamwork, and world-class coaching.

With eleven teams, the program has grown from just 18 athletes and 2 teams in its inaugural year to over 100 athletes competing across multiple levels — each embodying the same dedication and shine that have defined Radiance from the beginning.

More Than Cheer: Building Culture on Core Values

At the heart of Radiance is a set of core values that guide every decision. From day one, the gym has emphasized respect, inclusion, hard work, and community.

“Culture is everything. The athletes and families own this culture alongside the coaches. It is a daily collective effort to provide our athletes the ultimate space to thrive and grow. This culture allows each athlete to be all they can be”.

Parent involvement is carefully nurtured. Families are encouraged to support, rather than compete or criticize, creating an environment where athletes can thrive. Returning parents set the tone for new families, reinforcing an atmosphere of mentorship and inclusion.

“Our families love one another and that makes all of this possible. The Radiance culture is the same through and through- this program is what it is because every parent cares for every team..”

Coaching for Success, Growth, and Confidence

Radiance’s coaching philosophy blends technical skill development with personal growth. Athletes at every level receive attention tailored to their abilities, ensuring progress and confidence. Coaches align closely with the gym’s mission, creating consistency across teams and fostering a positive, high-performance culture.

“Excellence in technical precision is emphasized in every skill at every level from day one. The coaches know each athlete closely and this trust allows the athletes to grow and trust in their own abilities.”

Rooted in Community: Sustaining Excellence

Sustainability is a key focus. Retention, athlete loyalty, and long-term growth are achieved by investing in relationships — both inside the gym and within the central Indiana community. Outreach, events, and ongoing communication with families create a sense of belonging that extends beyond competitions.

“Our families invest in relationships within our gym, and inherently, our community. This has allowed for continual growth yet the same consistent culture.”

Looking Ahead: The Next Chapter for JPAC Radiance

The future is bright. Leadership envisions continued growth, enhanced athlete development programs, and expanded community engagement. Yet, the core mission remains the same: providing a space where athletes, families, and coaches can thrive together.

“We have high standards and consistently hold everyone to these values. This comes naturally as the athletes join our program looking for this expectation.”

Behind the Curtain: Reflections from the Leadership Team

For the team at Radiance, the journey is as meaningful as the victories. Pride comes from seeing athletes grow, families connect, and a positive culture flourish.

“Seeing each of our families cheer on every single team as if it is their own child up there is one of the most fulfilling parts of this job. Every single athlete feels passionately about every team and many volunteer to be junior coaches to be even more involved. We truly are a family.”

The program’s success is a testament not just to talent, but to vision, values, and perseverance. Athletes take these lessons with them far beyond the mat, leaving Radiance better equipped for life as well as cheer.

Conclusion: What It Takes to Shine

Radiance demonstrates that building a successful All-Star program isn’t just about winning competitions. It’s about fostering culture, prioritizing values, investing in families, and sustaining growth through relationships and vision.

The D2 Summit victory in year five, the record-breaking 2024–2025 season, and the successful start to Season Six at CSG Indy all illustrate that with dedication, teamwork, and strong leadership, a program can achieve both competitive success and lasting community impact.

For anyone looking to start or grow an All-Star gym, Radiance offers a blueprint for how heart, culture, and strategy can truly radiate success — on and off the mat.
